A VIRTUAL SHOWCASE

This year the Mental Illness Caregivers Association (MICA) is celebrating the 20th anniversary of Art in Strathcona Park. We had originally planned to host the event in early August, as we have in previous years, but the COVID-19 pandemic threw a wrench into our plans. Although disappointed we decided to host a virtual event as our way of saying thank you to the volunteers, artisans and sponsors who have contributed so much to our success over the years.

“The mission of the Ottawa Independent Living Resource Centre (OILRC) is to assist in the individual empowerment of all persons with any disability in the Ottawa area and to provide the tools they need to direct their lives and participate fully in the community.

The OILRC has been supporting people with disabilities in the Ottawa community for more than fifteen years. We are one of 27 Independent Living Resource Centre’s in Canada, all non-profit organizations, serving people with disabilities in our communities.”

Our organization depends on the help and support of our local community. Fundraising events, in-bound donations and government grants are ways we generate revenues for our programs.
